“I was super happy with my super-G run this morning although I know I can be faster”, said Thompson. “Going into the slalom portion of the super-combined I had the mentality to go as hard as I could, while skiing smart in some tricky sections. I am really happy with my 5th place finish in the super-combined, as well as being top junior. 5th is my best Nor-Am finish to-date!”
“Speed has been going really well this season for Brod”, said men’s coach Nick Cooper. “He still has more in the tank, but it was a solid super-G run. It was really great to see him show everyone the slalom skiing we have seen all year in training, and throw down on a tricky set. It's awesome to see him get his second super-combined junior win of this season."
"I am really happy about how everything turned out today", said Field. "I executed my game plan by staying solid on my outside ski and charging like crazy. The last couple weeks I have not been feeling like myself, so it was nice to finally lay down a solid run."
“It was great to see Charley get out of her own way today and punch one in there,” said women’s coach JP Daigneault. “This was her best-ever result in super-G, and we were all psyched to finally see her come back to the top of the hill to gather her stuff, all smiles and positive attitude!”
