After 6 tremendous years as a Coach with BC Alpine Ryan Jazic is stepping away from the BC Ski Team to spend more time at home and with family. His knowledge, experience and dedication to the athletes and the program have been outstanding. Ryan’s impact has been huge on athletics in BC and Canada. The good news is Ryan will continue to coach in BC and will be instrumental in the development of future BC Ski Team athletes and beyond. BC Alpine and the entire BC Ski Team will miss him very much. He is an amazing teacher, a close member of our family, and we will all miss his unwavering positive attitude and ability to connect with the athletes. We wish him all the best in his new role!
“It is with mixed emotions that I will be moving on from the BC Ski Team at the end of our 2020 fall Europe camp. My years with this program have been extremely rewarding and meaningful to me - to be a part of the lives of all the athletes, coaches and staff that have been part of the program has been very dear to my heart. I came to the BC Ski Team not only to help push the athletes to higher performance, but to also help develop myself as a coach in order to better serve other levels of the sport and work with the development of our younger generations. While I’ll still be watching this team with a keen eye and following every move they make, I’m very excited for new opportunities that await me. After so many years of living on the road away from loved ones, now being faced with the interesting times, unknown travel restrictions and time away, I have decided this is the appropriate time to take on new opportunities and enjoy a little time at home to be a husband.
